Confessions, a Johnny Walker Novel
On a dark rainy night, Johnny Walker, a cocaine addicted, alcoholic homicide detective in Portland Oregon, receives a call that a priest has been murdered out at the Grotto. And so begins one of the darkest noir detective stories since Raymond Chandler's "The Big Sleep." Griffith has created a noir so dark that he may have created a new genre. The only woman in Johnny's life at the moment is a 13 year old female bull dog named Daisey. The novel takes place in Portland Oregon and captures the dark, sick, underbelly of serial killers in the Pacific Northwest.
